St. Paul Super Slide

Anyone who’s been to Minnesota during the summer knows about the giant slide at the Minnesota State Fair, and if you haven’t been to the there while you’re in town, you’re missing out. No, really, you’re missing out. There’s a reason it’s called the Great Minnesota Get-Together, and attracts nearly 2 million visitors annually—the cheese curds, Sweet Martha’s cookies and French fries might be a big reason why. But enough salivating, let’s focus on the task at hand. The aforementioned giant slide now has a frozen cousin in the form of the St. Paul Super Slide presented by Securian in the heart of downtown at CHS Field, the home of the St. Paul Saints.
St. Paul Super Slide Stats
Dates: Through Feb. 10
Drop Distance: 40 feet
Slide Length: 130 feet (but you’ll slide father than that thanks to the momentum you’ve built up)
Tickets: $10 for adults; $5 for children (a ticket grants you one hour of sledding, and it’s advised to buy tickets in advance as walk-up tickets may not be available)
Height Limitations: Riders must be at least 48’’ tall to ride alone
Age Limitations: Children 10 years or younger must have adult supervision
In addition to the slide, visitors will find snow activities on the field and a warming zone with food and beverage available for purchase. So what are you waiting for, get out and enjoy this winter wonderland activity before it slips away.
